Edward Gorey: amazingly cool. This is what I’m aiming for in the second half of my life.

Robert Gottlieb’s review of the new Gorey bio by Mark Dery is a rare example of a very negative book review that I actually enjoyed. Because Gottlieb knows a lot about Gorey he is able to provide a lot of interesting information even while panning Dery’s book. I have no desire to read the biography but I do want to find more Gorey books now.

And a fur coat. Of course a fisherman’s sweater and a (faux) fur coat.
