These are a few sites I thought were interesting from October 29th through October 30th:
- Wired.com Product Reviews – Get in-depth tech news coverage from Wired and read about how it is shaping culture, education, entertainment, communications and technology.
- BBC NEWS | Science & Environment | Banjo used in brain surgery – best headline I’ve seen this week
- Jacksonville Journal – Sense of Unease in Some Black Voters – NYTimes.com – Scary fact: In 2000, *forty percent* of the votes in the Jacksonville Florida area were not counted
- PC World – Christian Science Monitor Goes Online-Only – First major daily newspaper to do so, if I’m not mistaken. let’s hope they can keep the quality of their journalism — which is very good — up.
- Reporters Getting Burned Out With New Technology, Journalists Tell National Press Club Forum – Are we asking too much of reporters by demanding they blog, twitter, GPS, Flickr *and* write the news?
“It was do the daily, come back, blog, Twitter, whatever the technology of the day,” he said. “Work on the project for Sunday. Go back on the blog four more times before I leave. The job doing public relations for the school board looked a lot more attractive.”
